3D technology a major driver at NAB2010, Hamlet survey reveals
14/04/2010NAB Las Vegas, Booth SU7507, 14 April 2010 – Almost three quarters of visitors to NAB2010 want to find out more about stereoscopic 3D production, according to a survey by leading test and measurement manufacturer Hamlet. The survey, which quizzed visitors over the first two days of the show, found that just 28% said that 3D was not on their agenda at the moment, while 29% had already had some experience of working in 3D.

12/04/2010NAB Las Vegas, Booth SU7507, April 2010 – Hamlet, leading supplier of affordable, high-precision test and measurement equipment, will be demonstrating its range of software-based systems at NAB in Las Vegas, including the new Reel-Check Enterprise edition of Reel-Check. Reel-Check-EV is a suite of Windows programs that run on a standard PC platform without special hardware. It performs a complete set of quality control tests on any audio/video media content. The software is designed to operate either automatically or be run under direct user control, and can be used as a networked facility. The enterprise version (EV) allows multiple instances to run in parallel across multiple servers/workstations to increase throughput of a common task schedule.

50% expect to work in 3D next year -Hamlet poll reveals strong interest in stereoscopic television
22/02/201022 February 2010 - According to a poll carried out among visitors at the BVE exhibition by test and measurement specialist, Hamlet - 50% of people expect to work in a stereoscopic 3D production in the coming year. A further 14% had already worked in 3D. And almost two-thirds of visitors said that finding out about 3D equipment and production techniques was the main reason or an important part of their visit.

The full range of its capabilities will be demonstrated at BVE in London, including the latest module which adds fibre connectivity to the test signal generator option, so engineers can check fibre circuits end to end with a single device. The new module is in the standard form factor, so it can be used in any Hamlet digital platform: as well as the hand portable MicroFlex, it can be used in the rack mount, on-screen display MonitorScope and DigiScope for fixed or free standing installations.
